CCI Conducts Safety Stand-Downs for Over 300 People
May 8th-12th was OSHA’s 2017 National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. Compliance Consultants reached out to our valued clients and conducted safety stand-downs for over 300 people at various construction sites throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
OSHA began the National Safety Stand-Down in an effort to educate construction workers on one of the most fatal hazards in the industry – falls. In 2015, 37% of all construction work fatalities were attributed to falls. These deaths are preventable, therefore the goal of the stand-down is to bring awareness to workers on how to prevent potentially fatal falls.
CCI is proud of our clients’ commitment to safety. Each stand-down brought together various trades working onsite, all of whom could be exposed to fall hazards on a regular basis. The workers were attentive, asked questions, and actively participated in the safety briefing conducted by CCI Safety Consultants. Bringing fall prevention awareness to 321 construction workers means there are 321 people who are more likely to make it home to their families at the end of the day… and that is worth celebrating.
